Why we are here

A better city for bees

Our mission is to build a healthier relationship between people, honeybees and the many wild pollinators that keep urban nature alive.

Bees belong in the living city

Bees support the plants, gardens and food systems around us. Their wellbeing depends on more than keeping hives: it depends on varied forage, pesticide-free spaces, suitable nesting habitat and care that respects the natural life of a colony.

London's Buzzing brings those needs together. We encourage practical action that helps honeybees without overlooking bumblebees, solitary bees and other pollinating insects.

Three commitments

Protect habitat

We champion diverse, season-long planting and the preservation of undisturbed nesting places in gardens, rooftops and shared spaces.

Put bee welfare first

We support attentive, low-intervention beekeeping in which colony health matters more than honey yield.

Share useful knowledge

We make bee-friendly choices easier to understand so residents, schools and organisations can act with confidence.
